Torn polythene bags, dead crow, nylon thread

A precise cloud of torn plastic suspended on horizontal threads spelled out the word 'crowdpleaser' in Arial font overhead. A crow was perched on the letter 'a'.

This work was the culmination of a residency at Persistence Works, Yorkshire Art Space Society. An essay on the residency by Deborah Kermode can be found under the heading Texts.

Photos of Perch (crowdpleaser) were taken by Claire Morgan and Jacqui Bellamy.
